Fie on theory!

An editorial column from the Chronicle of Higher Education explains, better than I could, why I probably would not enjoy graduate work in a contemporary academic "literature" department, and should not plan to enter that field.

For further explanation, I refer the interested reader to Frederick Crews' The Pooh Perplex and Postmodern Pooh, and Robert Grudin's Book : a novel.
